Pod 16: Interview with Margot Paez

We had the pleasure of having Margot Paez on the podcast and discussed a variety of topics, including: energy consumption of Bitcoin vs. traditional finance, how Bitcoin mining can incentivize clean energy, and the evolution of the Bitcoin community over the years.

Margot is a PhD candidate in the civil engineering department at Georgia Institute of Technology. She has an MS in physics from GT and works on climate change statistical-based modeling. Her previous research includes robotics and physics of living systems, astrobiology instrumentation, and web-based data management systems.
